Lions and LCIF Providing Earthquake Relief in China

Lions Clubs International Foundation has awarded US$50,000 in emergency grants to assist Lions in their relief efforts. Lions throughout China are providing emergency relief, and Lions from Beijing; District 380, Shenzhen; District 381, Guangdong; District 382, Dalian; and District383 Qingdao traveled to the area to provide relief supplies including tents, food and medicine.

Lions, LCIF Provide Earthquake Relief in Haiti

Lions Hope for Haiti has mobilized more than US$4.7 million to date. Lions Hope for Haiti is Lions and LCIF working together to provide relief and hope for the people of Haiti. Lions around the world are responding generously and quickly to the LCIF designated fund for this disaster.

LCIF Partner in Halting Transmission of River Blindness in Ecuador

Atlanta, Georgia, USA, March 3, 2010 — Ecuador has become the second nation in the Americas to halt the transmission of onchocerciasis, according to a press release from the Carter Center, the Atlanta-based sponsoring agency for the Onchocerciasis Elimination Program in the Americas.

Bank of America Awards Grant to LCIF for Lions Quest

Oak Brook, Illinois, March 31, 2010 – Bank of America has awarded the Lions Quest program a US$10,000 grant to support growth in public schools throughout Chicago, Illinois, USA. The division of Bank of America in Chicago awarded the grant based on the program’s positive presence in Chicago Public Schools (CPS).
